ATC365 #180 HOPE
Tired today, it has been quite hot!
I hear that it is going to be even hotter tomorrow!
Best make some ice.

Marvellous Monday with Visible Image
Hello!
Another Monday has arrived!
Hopefully you all had a good weekend?
Today I am featuring a card I made using one of the totally awesome Visible Image stamps
along with a piece of paper that very nearly went in the bin!
You know I love making backgrounds? Well, I cover my desk with a piece of cheap paper before starting any painting and spraying so I don't get the cutting mat dirty. I have a huge mat and am just too lazy to move it off the desk.
Anyway, as I am also a bit careful with my supplies, I keep these pieces of paper to use again and again. The resulting 'mess' can sometimes be very pleasant. Here, let me show you what I mean...
The card I made with a piece of this paper features the lovely flying bird and tree silhouette,
Leave your Fears.
I stamped the image using a Tim Holtz distress embossing powder hence the grainy look.
I covered a piece of card with the image because the paper is quite thin. I didn't leave enough space for the sentiment so I stamped it onto a piece of heat resist acetate which I secured with some eyelets and beads at one side. The curve helped fit the sentiment on!

Marvellous Monday with Visible Image
Oh what a memorable weekend I have just had, a few big things achieved!
Yesterday was a momentous day for us as we launched our 'new' boat.
Beautiful little boat and I know she is going to give us some very happy days out.
Right, need to get on with the business in hand which is my inspirational project for my DT.
Last week saw the launch of a new set of stamps from Visible Image and I have used one of the Express Yourself stamps as the cover sentiment for one of my little books.
This book has blank pages in so it could be used for little quotes but you could equally make a book to hold photos, addresses, or just as a shopping list.
I also used the small butterfly because I love this stamp!

It comes as 2 lines but some clever masking allowed me to stamp it in this format.

ATC365 # 168 LISTEN TO YOUR HEART
Mid-week madness has set in!
I am really looking forward to going out tonight to see some friends!
So, early crafting session and quick blog then mascara on and I'm out!
I have used more Visible Image stamps today!
This splattered heart, from the INKognito range is so
beautiful and the sentiment from the Express Yourself range fits perfectly on it.
All stamped over a background using the versatile Bronte Script stamp.

ATC365 #166 HOPE
Quite a busy day today for me.

Whooop! Whooop!

For my DT piece this week I decorated a shop bought candle holder with one of the new Express Yourself sentiments along with a hint of the lovely script from the Revolution set and one of the great edge stamps from the Edgy set.
The original candle holder was painted cream so I simply stamped the script all over with teal Stazon. If you don't have the Revolution script you could use Bronte. If you have neither I suggest you invest in one or other! They are great for backgrounds.
Next came the sentiment which I stamped and embossed in gold and then simply used the 'square' Edgy stamp around the edges, again with gold embossing powder.
The holder had heart cuts on 2 sides to which I added a few dangling beads and because of the heat from the tea-light I changed the handle to thick gold coloured wire.
PLEASE BE CAREFUL WHEN RE-PURPOSING ANY CANDLE HOLDERS!!

ATC365 #163 VISIBLE IMAGE QUOTE
I can't believe I let this happen!!
I made this ATC a few days ago when
Visible Image
sent me the stamps to make samples for their new releases.
I made it especially for Friday 12th, the release date. and then promptly failed to post about it!
Oh dear! Where is my head at? I think somebody replaced it with a cabbage!

All those months spent as a 'Lady of Leisure' were great for the crafting!
Being back at work full time means I have a lot less time in the week to tinker in the craft room.

ATC365 #160 LIVE ONCE
My days seem to be getting shorter!
Where does the time go?
You may have seen a similar ATC a few weeks ago.
I had decorated a big piece of card and cut it into ATC sized pieces just in case I ran out of time one day.
Today is one of those days!
So, this one was mostly made today but does have history!

Marvellous Monday with Visible Image
What a fabby weekend it was! Sun, sun and more sun!
For my Visible Image DT piece today I have a very bright and strawberry coloured card for you featuring one of the lovely flower silhouettes from the More Than Words range.
I first painted a piece of card with liquid Brusho in red and orange shades. When it was completely dry I stamped and embossed the flower with clear embossing powder all over the card.
This sealed in the colour under the flowers so when I painted the whole thing over with bleach it took away the colour from the exposed areas.
The sentiment was stamped onto a piece of the same card but this time I used bleach to stamp the flower head giving a more subtle effect so the sentiment stood out clearly. The sentiment was stamped with black embossing powder.
