Visible Image Friday Feature

Hello Friday! What a week it has been. The move to Wales is proving to be very time consuming. My main objective is NOT to take anything with me that needs 'sorting out when I get there' as I want to be able to spend 100% of my free time crafting! I have a hoard of stuff that I have been meaning to sort through, like craft magazines, things to up-cycle, yards of material, and of course boxes of paper scraps. Somebody once asked on a craft forum what is the smallest piece of paper you would consider saving. Well, I seem to have saved anything larger than a postage stamp! What I do know is that despite all good intentions I rarely ever search through the scraps! I simply cut a new piece. After all who has time to waste looking for a piece of paper in the right colour of the right size in a box of scraps? I don't. So the sorting process continues.......

My project for this week, which was made using only new bits of card, features the ever popular butterfly and Bronte script from the fantastic collection of stamps by Visible Image. I started by stamping some butterflies over a piece of card I had coloured using shades of pink and blue. I blended so well that only the tiniest of areas still show the blue. The butterflies were then stamped in a column keeping their middles in the middle! I then cut a piece that had an almost whole butterfly plumb in the middle and cropped the others very slightly.

I stamped a whole butterfly which I then cut out and stuck to the central butterfly on the panel. I used the Bronte script to add a light pattern to the purple background card and a clear embossing powder to show off the same Bronte script on the black card. For a bit of interest I used eyelets and some cord to hold the feature panel to the card base.

As always I highly recommend you check out the Visible Image blog HERE where you will see more work from the Design Team. There is also the Facebook group HERE, where you can chat to all of the Team and each other about Visible Image related stuff, and don't forget the monthly challenge where you get to see the DT projects which will hopefully inspire you to enter your own project with a chance of winning a fab prize. You can enter the challenge either via the Visible Image blog HERE or in the Facebook group. The theme this month is 'Anything Goes!'

Hope you enjoyed my project for today? Did you see the inspiration project I did yesterday for the challenge?

Hope you have a good weekend and I look forward to seeing you all again sometime next week.
